G60

The G60 was the first taster of the High Performance Corrados. Although introduced to the UK along with the 1.8 16v in 1989. It wasn't until June of 1991 when the UK got the first Right-Hand Drive (RHD) examples to play around with. When this happened it really strutted itself, within months outselling the 1.8-16v, and that was how it was to stay until the introduction of the VR6.

This model uses the same (PG) engine as the Golf G60. This supercharged engine is capable of propelling the car to a recorded 140mph (VW). The only thing that may bother the sensitive is the constant hum of the supercharger!
